Mentor Visit Programme: Strengthening AACSB Accreditation Preparation through Collaboration with Taylor’s University Malaysia

Semarang, August 5, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Diponegoro University successfully conducted a Mentor Visit Programme from August 3 to 5, 2026, at the Faculty’s Dean’s Office building. This initiative reflects FEB Diponegoro University’s commitment to enhancing the quality of educational governance and preparing for international accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The program featured Prof. Dr. Chong Siong Choy, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at Taylor’s University, Malaysia, who is also an experienced mentor in the AACSB accreditation process. His visit provided a valuable opportunity for the faculty leadership, lecturers, students, and the FEB Diponegoro University accreditation team to gain strategic insights based on best practices implemented at an institution of international standing.

Faculty members and students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Diponegoro University participated in this interactive sharing session. Through these discussions, participants gained insights into AACSB international standards, Taylor’s University’s experience in securing and maintaining accreditation, and strategies to enhance the quality of education, research, governance, and internationalization at FEB Diponegoro University. The session aimed to support efforts to improve quality and accelerate the achievement of AACSB accreditation for the faculty.

Over the course of the three-day event, the program featured intensive consultations and discussions covering institutional readiness assessment, the refinement of accreditation documents, the strengthening of quality assurance systems, the development of an Assurance of Learning (AoL)-based curriculum, the enhancement of research and community service quality, and strategies for sustainably meeting AACSB standards. Additionally, mentoring sessions provided guidance on the strategic steps FEB Diponegoro University needs to take to navigate the international accreditation process.

Through this activity, FEB Diponegoro University received constructive recommendations to strengthen the implementation of AACSB standards, improve academic governance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the faculty. The discussions also opened up broader opportunities for collaboration between Diponegoro University and Taylor’s University in the fields of education, research, and academic capacity building.

The Mentor Visit Programme is expected to serve as a strategic step toward accelerating the realization of FEB Diponegoro University’s vision of becoming a world-class business education institution with global competitiveness.
