Semarang, August 20, 2026 — Students of the Master of Economics (ME) program have officially agreed to establish a new student organization named “Keluarga Mahasiswa ME” (ME Student Family). This agreement was reached during a discussion forum held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, attended by students from various cohorts.
The forum, which lasted for one and a half hours, addressed the need for a platform where ME students could share, coordinate, and pursue academic development amidst their respective busy schedules.
“Keluarga Mahasiswa ME” is designed with a flexible and emotionally close-knit concept, emphasizing the strengthening of the academic experience and the scholarly development of ME students. It focuses on three key areas:
1. Organizing training sessions and academic discussions to support members’ understanding and the development of their academic competencies;
2. Conducting academic-related sharing sessions to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences among members;
3. Providing a channel for voicing aspirations, where members can share the challenges they face, particularly regarding coursework and the learning process.
As a follow-up, the forum will soon formulate detailed guidelines regarding the activity’s topics, methods, and format. Mechanisms for conveying student aspirations and grievances will also be established to ensure the platform operates optimally.
The establishment of this Master’s in Economics student forum is expected to foster a sense of community among students while serving as a support system for their studies one that aligns with their needs as both students and professionals.
